Business opportunities are rapidly expanding in Dubai and the MENA region for the windows, doors and facades industry. With over 11,000 new construction projects unfolding in the GCC in 2017, 45% of which are underway in the UAE only according to BNC Construction Intelligence, products for the building environment are in high demand.

At the region’s largest dedicated platform, Windows, Doors & Facades Event (25-27 September, Dubai World Trade Centre), a record-breaking participation and several deals signed onsite substantiated the industry’s positive trend. Hosting over 160 exhibitors from 13 countries, the event attracted more than 7,000 visitors, marking an impressive 33% increase compared to the previous edition.

“This is the second year we participated at Windows, Doors & Facades Event, and the huge number of visitors we received at our stand certainly exceeded our expectations,” Aws Saleh, Country Manager at Reynaers Middle East says.

Mohamad Sabeh, Technical Director at Gutmann Middle East LLC, explains: “The construction market is currently doing very well in the region and especially in the UAE, as investments in both residential and commercial buildings are increasing. The success of the Windows, Doors & Facades Event indicates that this positive growth will maintain its momentum over the next years.”

Vasiliki Kakari, General Manager of ESC Aluminium Systems, confirms the optimistic outlook for the industry: “A lot of projects are underway in the region, and many more are expected to come with the EXPO 2020 Dubai being not that far away.” After a very successful experience at this year’s exhibition, ESC Aluminium Systems announced its participation at the next edition of Windows, Doors & Facades Event in 2018.

“We received a lot of interest from professionals from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia at the event, and we even managed to sign seven projects: one in Kuwait, and six in the United Arab Emirates,” Ms. Kakari added. The company, which showcased its curtain wall systems, sliding systems, and hinged systems at the exhibition, “have also established strong relations with aluminum fabricators and developers that want to use our systems on future projects.”

Mohamad Sabeh echoes Vasiliki’s positive experience at the Windows, Doors & Facades Event: “This trade fair proved to be the perfect platform to showcase our latest products and unveil our biggest projects, such as our partnership with Emaar.” Exhibiting company Tecfire, a leader in Glass Protection Engineering, has also confirmed its return at Windows, Doors & Facades Event in 2018, having welcomed 400 visitors to their stand during this past edition of the show.

Announcing the dates of the 2018 edition of Windows, Doors & Facades Event, which will run from 23 to 25 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Event Director, Rebecca Lockwood, comments: “The impressive increase in visitors’ attendance, as well as the many deals signed by exhibiting companies during the three days of the event clearly demonstrates the demand for windows, doors & facades products in the region, and a dedicated show for this exciting sector.”
